Homemade Pita chips are so much better than store bought. Easy to make but hard to stop eating!
List Your Ingredients
1 package of pitas
1 heaping cup of grated parmesan cheese
2 - 3 Tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
3/4 tsp salt
about 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Adjust the oven racks to upper-middle and lower-middle positions and heat to 350.
Using kitchen shears, cut the around the perimeter and separate so that you have 2 rounds.
Combine the parmesan cheese, rosemary and salt together in a bowl.
Work with 1 pita round at a time, brush cut side generously with oil and sprinkle with the Parmesan mixture.
Stack the rounds on top of each other, cut side up, as you complete each one. You will probably create 2 stacks of pita rounds.
Cut each stack of pita rounds into 8 wedges.
Spread the wedges, cut side up, on rimmed baking sheets.
Bake until wedges are golden brown and crisp, about 15 minutes, rotating and switching sheets halfway through baking.
Let cool and serve with Homemade Hummus.
